1946 Vintage Bow Shaped Brooch in 18k gold - Stockholm, Sweden
Ok, I couldn't resist this one. As someone who is obsessed by textile curves and drape, I had to have a ribbon of gold that is literally formed into a bow shape.
This gold bow was made in 1946 by maker Stigbert, active 1939-2016 in Stockholm, Sweden. Brooch measures about 1 inch high by 1.6 inches wide. She has complete Swedish hallmarks for maker, year, gold purity and location. Condition is excellent.
Brooch has a beautiful pin back closure that opens by pushing/pulling the gold ball component in/out to release the sharp end of the pin. This is very secure, not to mention elegant!
Wear this bow at top button of your blouse, on a head scarf, or of course to secure your silk scarf or shawl.
