1917 Antique Swedish Elongated Link Watch Chain Necklace in 18k Gold - 17.6 inch length

Link style is a pattern consisting of alternating, elongated rounded bar links. These links are special in that their silhouette alternates from oval to a slightly triangular oval, allowing the combined elongated links to connect directly - no need for small connector links as would have been traditional.

This detail elevates this chain design from classic to quite elegant.

Links are made of solid 18k yellow gold and are in beautiful condition - the craftsmanship is outstanding.

Dated 1917 Stockholm, Sweden, this piece was made by maker CG Halbergs who were active 1913-1982. 

Overall length is 17.6 inches with well working dog clip and bolt clasp. Piece has full Swedish hallmarks for maker, date, location, gold purity, and is in excellent antique condition.
