Rare and stunning Italian vintage, 18K gold LOOONG diamond cut foxtail link necklace. She is a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship.
The foxtail link technique has been around for hundreds of years, originating in Italy.
This link style is made using individual oblong loops of gold woven one by one into the stack, thus creating a chain of intricate woven v-links or chevrons.
31.5 inch length, 1.8mm square, and weighing a very nice 19.6g of solid 18k gold, this foxtail link necklace is a rich yellow gold hue. Made by the classic Italian maker, Uno A Erre, in Arrezzo Italy.

I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length. I needed at least a 20 inch chain. Undaunted, Jill told me that she would look for a longer chain in the same rolo-link style but with a lobster clasp that I prefer. Not long after I received a video showcasing the longer chain that Jill had found to replace the original shorter one. Jill’s video contained dialogue with close-ups of the chain as she dangled it over and through her fingers. After giving her my enthusiastic approval, I had the pendant on the new longer chain within a day or two, and it was perfect. I wore my beautiful quartz pendant for the first time on Mother’s Day and received several compliments on it. Thank you, Jill, for making my wish come true. ❤️
