Vintage Swedish Double-link necklace - Solid 18k gold - 18 inch length
Beautiful vintage 18K gold, 18 inch length, 8.4 grams, graduated double-link necklace. Handmade in Sweden.
This link type is called a double-link. Pairs of links run the length - like two curb chains delicately soldered, link by link, to form a double length of links. This link style was popular in the 1960s.
Links are gradually smaller and larger to elegantly transition around your neck. Imagine making these individual links to perfectly create that gradation - I find this level of goldsmithing astonishing in its handmade precision.
I love the smooth movement of this gold link style, it languidly follows the form of your collarbone.

The pendant may have come earlier, but I retrieved it yesterday evening …. and I L O V E it! Here you can see it on the rounded box chain which complements the rounded triangle of the pendant. How wonderful is that! It’s like “They were meant to go together.” Because they are both 18 K gold, the color-match is perfect. Once again, Jill, we hit the bull’s eye dead center. What more can I say but, once again, “Thank you.” You’re absolutely the best.
