Distinctive Rare 14k gold Geneva link variation choker necklace - Denmark
A hard to find geneva link variation! This chain is made of solid 14k gold links and measures 15.75 inches long. Typically a geneva link pattern repeats a v-link all around the necklace but this one has a unique addition. We have a gorgeous narrow link to which the goldsmith added a satin finish panel of staggered brick links as a centerpiece for this necklace. It's really a distinctive look!
The craftsmanship is incredible. Look closely at the transition between the slim link portion and the panel insert - it's exquisite. Geneva link chains were popular in the 1970s. This solid 14k gold geneva necklace variation weighs 15.5 grams and measures 2 mm to 5.5 mm wide.
This collar style necklace is curved with slight rigidity, and lays perfectly flat around the neck. She is in excellent vintage condition with a secure well working clasp with safety eight.

The weight of these chains is incredible, I haven’t felt solid gold like this since the 80’s, what a great memory.
