Antique cable link guard chain necklace in 18k gold - 58 inch length
Today I have for you a wonderful long guard chain in 18k gold.
Antique guard chains are long chains originally intended to be used to hold a lady's pocket watch or muff. The long length makes them incredibly versatile as they can be worn as a necklace wrapped a number of times around the neck.
This chain is 58.5 inches long and can easily make it 3 times around my neck with chain to spare. She fastens with an 18k gold, well working dog clip - to attach your charms! PIece is hallmarked with the triple crown stamp for Sweden, and uniquely, for 765 gold (18k is 750), which is equivalent to 18.4k gold.
A fun and versatile chain you can comfortably wear doubled or tripled on your neck or multi-wrapped as a bracelet!

I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length. I needed at least a 20 inch chain. Undaunted, Jill told me that she would look for a longer chain in the same rolo-link style but with a lobster clasp that I prefer. Not long after I received a video showcasing the longer chain that Jill had found to replace the original shorter one. Jill’s video contained dialogue with close-ups of the chain as she dangled it over and through her fingers. After giving her my enthusiastic approval, I had the pendant on the new longer chain within a day or two, and it was perfect.
