A special link style made by Italian classic jeweler UnAErre in Arezzo. Rather than linking loops of gold as we see (and love) with many chain styles, this piece is braided like a multi strand plait.
This piece dates to 1944-1968 Italy. She is made entirely of 18k yellow gold and measures 16.75 inches long by 3.7mm wide. Necklace is designed to lay flat and closes with a secure box clasp with added safety loop. Marks for maker, location and gold purity. Very good vintage condition with normal age related wear.
I like to layer a flat link like this, underneath skinnier chains, for a broad gold highlight. This chain will make your stack pop!

I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length. I needed at least a 20 inch chain. Undaunted, Jill told me that she would look for a longer chain in the same rolo-link style but with a lobster clasp that I prefer. Not long after I received a video showcasing the longer chain that Jill had found to replace the original shorter one. Jill’s video contained dialogue with close-ups of the chain as she dangled it over and through her fingers. After giving her my enthusiastic approval, I had the pendant on the new longer chain within a day or two, and it was perfect.
