Graduated star link necklace in solid 14k gold - 18.5 inch length
This silky, delicious vintage beauty is now available.
Beautifully made in solid 14K gold that looks like liquid gold on your neck. Luxurious vintage 14K gold in an excellent 18.5 inch length, 11.5 grams weight, graduated link necklace. Handmade in Sweden.
The link type is called a star link or x-link; the individually made links create little x's where they are soldered together. This link style was popular in the 1960s.
Links are gradually smaller and larger to elegantly transition around your neck. Imagine making these individual links to perfectly create that gradation - I find this level of goldsmithing astonishing in its handmade precision.
Necklace has a well working and box clasp with double security loops. So sophisticated yet totally wearable. Very good vintage condition.

The weight of these chains is incredible, I haven’t felt solid gold like this since the 80’s, what a great memory.
