1948 Vintage Stigbert Three-Leaf Brooch in Sterling Silver – 2 inch
Atelier Stigbert was one of the best known producers of Swedish Modernist and midcentury jewelry. Stigbert was founded by the goldsmith Stig Engelbert in the early 1940s. The Atelier was organized as a modern branch within the older family company, Heribert Engelbert, and therefore the early pieces have two sets of maker's marks, that of the Atelier, and that of the company.
Made in Stockholm, Sweden, this brooch weighs 18.36 grams and measures approximately 55 mm wide by 50 mm long. Designed as three overlapping leaves, the brooch has a beautifully layered, undulating form that suggests movement. Crafted in sterling silver, it is fitted with a secure pin and safety catch. Hallmarked for maker, date, location and silver purity.
Brooch is in excellent vintage condition with normal age-related wear.
