Solid 18k gold bangles like this are very hard to find. Most hinged bangles I encounter are hollow form but not this one!
A solid gold hinged bangle made in 1961 in Stockholm, Sweden. What I love about solid bangles, as opposed to hollow ones, is that they cannot dent - don't get me wrong, they can be scratched and marred like any pieces of jewelry, but you'll never have dents. Solid is more rugged.
This amazing vintage Scandinavian 18k gold bangle is oval shaped with a half-round cross section. Interior of the oval measures 7.25 inches in circumference and opens on a hinge. Hinge has a bit of side to side play, due to normal wear, as shown in photo 6. Bracelet weighs an excellent 25.1g of 18k gold and was just professionally polished for you.
Bangle has a sturdy and well working tongue clasp with safety eight. Full Swedish hallmarks for maker, location, gold purity, and year. Very good vintage condition with normal age related wear.

I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length.
