I NEVER find bangles like this one in solid, luscious 18k gold!! Typically bangles are hollow form but not this one.
A solid gold hinged bangle made in 1978 in Sävsjö, Sweden. Solid bangles like this are rare finds. What I love about them is that they cannot dent - don't get me wrong, they can be scratched and marred like any pieces of jewelry, but you'll never have dents. Solid is more rugged.
This amazing vintage Scandinavian 18k gold bangle is oval shaped with a femme half-round cross section. Interior of the oval measures 2 inches (50mm) x 2.4 inches (60mm) and opens with a well working and beautiful hinge. She weighs an excellent 18.2g of 18k gold and has a yummy warm, a bit rosey vintage patina. Piece comes with original vintage box.
Bangle has a sturdy and well working tongue clasp with safety eight. Full Swedish hallmarks for maker, location, gold purity, and year. Excellent vintage condition with normal age related wear.

I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length. I needed at least a 20 inch chain. Undaunted, Jill told me that she would look for a longer chain in the same rolo-link style but with a lobster clasp that I prefer. Not long after I received a video showcasing the longer chain that Jill had found to replace the original shorter one.
