Sterling Silver Longuard Curb Link Chain with Swivel Dog Clip - 31 inch doubled necklace length adjustable
Wear this antique longuard chain as a versatile double strand necklace with swivel dog clip clasp. Guard chains were popular in the Victorian era and women would wear them in various configurations, doubling or tripling the long length for different looks.
This necklace has a swivel dog clip which clasps by clipping it over the looped chain. You can wear it in the front or to the side to attach and display your charm collection. See photos for styling inspiration.
Overall chain length measures 60.5 inches x 3.4mm wide. When worn as an even length double strand necklace, it measures approximately 31 inches long. Piece weighs 41.1 grams and is in excellent antique condition. Piece is stamped for silver purity and has a jump ring that was likely added a later date.
Piece is made of solid sterling silver in a curb link pattern. Sterling swivel dog clip is well working and secure.

I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length. I needed at least a 20 inch chain. Undaunted, Jill told me that she would look for a longer chain in the same rolo-link style but with a lobster clasp that I prefer. Not long after I received a video showcasing the longer chain that Jill had found to replace the original shorter one. Jill’s video contained dialogue with close-ups of the chain as she dangled it over and through her fingers. After giving her my enthusiastic approval, I had the pendant on the new longer chain within a day or two, and it was perfect.
