Vintage Sterling Silver Palm Pendant Necklace by Theresia Hvorslev - 1960s-70s era
Theresia Hvorslev was one of the most influential Swedish jewelers of her era, 1935-2024. Winner of three Diamonds International Awards and work exhibited in several museums in Scandinavia and in New York, she had a rich career.
She described the common thread through all of her work is her love of Nordic nature.
This piece is 1960/70s era when she designed jewelry for the Swedish jewelry maker, MEMA.
A large pendant, with heavy texture is fern like in its form. With long curved fingers the pendant elegantly bends like an upturned palm (either the plant or one’s hand).
Listing includes both the pendant and chain.
Enjoy this wonderful piece!
