Wear this antique rolo (aka belcher) longuard chain as a versatile double strand or triple strand necklace with dog clip clasp. 

Guard chains were popular in the Victorian era and women would wear them in various configurations, across and around the body. This one retains its slider component which gives you even more variation!

18k gold slider has beautiful foliate detailing in rose gold, white gold and green gold. Slider can be removed by your jeweler if you prefer. 

This necklace has a dog clip which clasps by clipping it over the looped chain. You can wear it in the front or to the side to attach and display your charm collection. You can also leave the clip free and just loop the long chain overhead 2-3 times.

This piece has a bonus 2.5 inch accessory chain with jump ring waiting for your customization - add a charm or maybe an extra dog clip?

Overall chain length measures 66 inches x 2mm wide. When worn as an even length double strand necklace, it measures approximately 33 inches long. Color is yellow gold with a rosy antique patina. Made circa 1840-1900, piece weighs 19.69 grams of 18k gold and is in excellent antique condition.
