This bangle was part of WW2 wartime jewelry production in Sweden. It was part of goldsmith Stig Engerbert’s collection called “The Stigbert Jewelry” (he was more creative as a designer than as a wordsmith lol), a key breakthrough for Swedish Modernist jewelry.
The collection was inspired by classic clean lines of early Scandinavian design and was made distinct by his use of beautifully faceted rock crystals.
This step-cut square rock crystal has elongated, parallel facets arranged in elegant tiers, creating a sleek, geometric look with sharp, angular refractions.
Vintage gold bangle is oval, with an interior circumference of approximately 7.1 inches and opens with a well working hinge. Tongue closure is set with safety lock and safety chain for increased secuity. She has full Swedish stamps for maker, date, location and gold purity.
Bracelet is solid 18k gold (hollow-form), weighs 10.12 grams total, and is securely set with a 14mm square crystal quartz. Piece is in very good vintage condition with normal age related wear.

I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length. After giving her my enthusiastic approval, I had the pendant on the new longer chain within a day or two, and it was perfect.
