1917 Antique Swedish Double Fetter Watch Chain Necklace in 18k Gold - 17.6 inch length

Link style is a variation of a double fetter link - a chain pattern consisting of alternating, elongated flat links. These links are special in that the "fetters" alternate from oval to a slightly triangular oval, allowing the doubled fetters to connect directly - no need for small connector links.
This detail elevates this chain design from classic to quite elegant.
Links are made of solid 18k yellow gold and are in beautiful condition - the craftsmanship is outstanding.
Dated 1917 Stockholm, Sweden, this piece was made by maker CG Halbergs who were active 1913-1982.
Overall length is 17.6 inches with well working dog clip and bolt clasp. Piece has full Swedish hallmarks for maker, date, location, gold purity, and is in excellent antique condition.
