1944 Modernist Rock Crystal and 18k Gold Hinged Bangle by STIGBERT - 7.1 inch interior circumference

This bangle was part of WW2 wartime jewelry production in Sweden. It was part of goldsmith Stig Engerbert’s collection called “The Stigbert Jewelry” (he was more creative as a designer than as a wordsmith lol), a key breakthrough for Swedish Modernist jewelry.

The collection was inspired by classic clean lines of early Scandinavian design and was made distinct by his use of beautifully faceted rock crystals.

This step-cut square rock crystal has elongated, parallel facets arranged in elegant tiers, creating a sleek, geometric look with sharp, angular refractions.

Vintage gold bangle is oval, with an interior circumference of approximately 7.1 inches and opens with a well working hinge. Tongue closure is set with safety lock and safety chain for increased secuity. She has full Swedish stamps for maker, date, location and gold purity.

Bracelet is solid 18k gold (hollow-form), weighs 10.12 grams total, and is securely set with a 14mm square crystal quartz. Piece is in very good vintage condition with normal age related wear.
