Luxurious vintage 18K gold, 19 inch length, 7.2 grams, graduated double-link necklace. Made in Göteborg, Sweden. Excellent vintage condition with well working spring clasp.
This link type is called a double-link. Pairs of links run side by side - like two curb chains delicately soldered, link by link, to form a double length of links. This link style was popular in the 1960s.
Links are gradually smaller and larger to elegantly transition around your neck. Imagine making these individual links to perfectly create that gradation - I find this level of goldsmithing astonishing in its handmade precision.
