This bangle was part of WW2 wartime jewelry production in Sweden. It was part of goldsmith Stig Engerbert’s collection called “The Stigbert Jewelry” (he was more creative as a designer than as a wordsmith lol), a key breakthrough for Swedish Modernist jewelry.
The collection was inspired by classic clean lines of early Scandinavian design and was made distinct by his use of beautifully faceted rock crystals.
This step-cut square rock crystal has elongated, parallel facets arranged in elegant tiers, creating a sleek, geometric look with sharp, angular refractions.
Vintage gold bangle is oval, with an interior circumference of approximately 7.1 inches and opens with a well working hinge. Tongue closure is set with safety lock and safety chain for increased secuity. She has full Swedish stamps for maker, date, location and gold purity.
Bracelet is solid 18k gold (hollow-form), weighs 10.12 grams total, and is securely set with a 14mm square crystal quartz. Piece is in very good vintage condition with normal age related wear.

I actually purchased this lovely citrine pendant not too long ago over the phone speaking directly with Jill, the owner of Penelope Penelope. This is how she and I do business nowadays. As well as this pendant, I have purchased many, many other beautiful vintage pieces from her over the past 2+ years, and plan on continuing to do so in the future as I find her pieces to be uniquely beautiful, well-made, and fairly priced. The pendant may have come earlier, but I retrieved it yesterday evening …. and I L O V E it! Here you can see it on the rounded box chain which complements the rounded triangle of the pendant. How wonderful is that! It’s like “They were meant to go together.” Because they are both 18 K gold, the color-match is perfect. Once again, Jill, we hit the bull’s eye dead center. What more can I say but, once again, “Thank you.” You’re absolutely the best.
