1960s era Graduated Star Link Necklace in 18k gold - 18 inch length
This radiant vintage beauty is now available.
Beautifully made in solid 18K gold that flows like a silky textile on your neck. Luxurious vintage chain in an excellent 18 inch length, 20.11 grams weight, with graduated width 4.8-7.4mm. Handmade in Sweden by maker ABD.
The link type is called a star link or x-link; the individually made links create little x's where they are soldered together. This link style was popular in the 1960s.
Links are gradually smaller and larger to elegantly transition around your neck. Imagine making these individual links to perfectly create that gradation - I find this level of goldsmithing astonishing in its handmade precision.
Necklace has a well working secure spring clasp. Sophisticated yet wearable everyday. Excellent vintage condition.

I had been watching this fancy link bracelet for a while and am so glad it stuck around for me. A gift for my daughter who loves it.
I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length. I needed at least a 20 inch chain. Undaunted, Jill told me that she would look for a longer chain in the same rolo-link style but with a lobster clasp that I prefer. Not long after I received a video showcasing the longer chain that Jill had found to replace the original shorter one. Jill’s video contained dialogue with close-ups of the chain as she dangled it over and through her fingers. After giving her my enthusiastic approval, I had the pendant on the new longer chain within a day or two, and it was perfect. I wore my beautiful quartz pendant for the first time on Mother’s Day and received several compliments on it. Thank you, Jill, for making my wish come true. ❤️
