WOW!!! An incredible find! I’m thrilled to share with you this high karat extra long rolo link chain in 22k solid gold.
Dated 1834 Sweden, this necklace measures 54.3 inches long by approximately 6mm wide and weighs 52.8 grams. She closes with a hidden box clasp in the shape of a hand.
Rolo links (aka belcher link) GLOW, even in dim light, yellow true gold in hue. The most buttery butter rich color, yet with patina. Omg it’s even more beautiful in person.
According to notes from the dealer, this piece was used as a bishop’s chain. Did you know that today there are female priests/bishops in the Church of Sweden?
Chain has stamps for maker, year, location, and gold purity. Stamped 18k though tests as 22k.
Wear it doubled in length for a 26 inch stacked chain look. Long enough even to triple the length around your neck!
A special piece that will surely bring in the compliments. SO SO beautiful and unique!!

The pendant may have come earlier, but I retrieved it yesterday evening …. and I L O V E it! Here you can see it on the rounded box chain which complements the rounded triangle of the pendant. How wonderful is that! It’s like “They were meant to go together.” Because they are both 18 K gold, the color-match is perfect. Once again, Jill, we hit the bull’s eye dead center. What more can I say but, once again, “Thank you.” You’re absolutely the best.
