1958 Stockholm Sweden, Double Link Chain Graduated Width Necklace in 18k Gold - 17 inch length
Luxurious vintage 18K gold, 17 inch length, 13.2 grams, graduated width double-link necklace. Handmade in Stockholm, Sweden by maker EAG, dated 1958.
This chain has a unique patina. The interior of each link has been treated to have a darker patina than the polished exterior. This creates strong gold highlights that show off the defined link pattern. Note, dark areas are just dark gold, any colors are just reflections of the room.
This link type is called a double-link - pairs of links run side by side - like two curb chains delicately soldered, link by link, to form a double length of links. This creates a smooth strong chain that will last for generations.
I love the elegant movement of this gold link style, it languidly follows the form of your collarbone.

I saw it. I fell in love with it. I had to have it. With a short text and a phone call to Jill, it became mine. I truly did not think that it would be possible for me to wear this beautiful piece as the original rolo-link chain that the stone hung from was only 16.5 inches in length. I needed at least a 20 inch chain. Undaunted, Jill told me that she would look for a longer chain in the same rolo-link style but with a lobster clasp that I prefer. Not long after I received a video showcasing the longer chain that Jill had found to replace the original shorter one. Jill’s video contained dialogue with close-ups of the chain as she dangled it over and through her fingers. After giving her my enthusiastic approval, I had the pendant on the new longer chain within a day or two, and it was perfect. I wore my beautiful quartz pendant for the first time on Mother’s Day and received several compliments on it. Thank you, Jill, for making my wish come true. ❤️
