I'm excited to share with you a unique extra long silky byzantine link chain. OMG a spectacular piece!
She is 35.75 inches of detailed textile to sparkle on your neck. Length is long enough to fit overhead with no need to open the clasp. Though the clasp is beautifully crafted and you should open and close it.
A byzantine chain is a complex construction, each link passes through four others, contributing to the chain's strength and flexibility. Piece is at least 100 years old, though it could date back as far as the 1700s. Marks are present but illegible due to normal wear.
Chain is made of solid 14k gold link and weighs 15.42 grams. Maybe you want to wear it long sometimes and maybe you want to wear it doubled sometimes. Looks beautiful with a pendant or solo.
Excellent antique condition. Any darks areas are just reflections from the room.

The pendant may have come earlier, but I retrieved it yesterday evening …. and I L O V E it! Here you can see it on the rounded box chain which complements the rounded triangle of the pendant. How wonderful is that! It’s like “They were meant to go together.” Because they are both 18 K gold, the color-match is perfect. Once again, Jill, we hit the bull’s eye dead center.
