Early 1900s Antique PLATINUM Link Longuard Chain Necklace with Dog Clip - 31-62 inch length
Wear this antique longuard chain as a versatile double strand necklace with dog clip clasp and/or charm holder. Guard chains are super fun in that you can wear them in various configurations, doubling or tripling the long length for different looks.
This necklace has a dog clip which can be used as a clasp by clipping it over the looped chain or left free as a charm carrier. You can wear it in the front to attach and display your charm collection, or wear in the back for a one-and-one double strand look.
Overall length measures 62 inches x 1.25mm wide. A simple doubled strand look measures approximately 31". Piece weighs 13.11 grams and is in excellent antique condition.
Chain is made of platinum (stamped) in a bar link pattern. Platinum fine jewelry is known for its hardwearing and hypoallergenic properties. The color is wonderfully cool and silvery. Swivel dog clip is well working and secure.

The pendant may have come earlier, but I retrieved it yesterday evening …. and I L O V E it! Here you can see it on the rounded box chain which complements the rounded triangle of the pendant. How wonderful is that! It’s like “They were meant to go together.” Because they are both 18 K gold, the color-match is perfect. Once again, Jill, we hit the bull’s eye dead center.
