VERY FINE! 1970s era Balestra 18k gold special tight curb chain necklace - 20 inch length
At a glance this may look like a typical (beautiful) curb chain necklace, but if you look closely it is a special one. The rate of the links per inch (or cm) is quite high and the space (the air) between links is tight, making the movement of this chain very fine.
Necklace was made in Italy by the classic maker Balestra, 1970s era. Color is beautifully warm with patina. Necklace measures 20 inches long by 2.8 mm wide and is made entirely of 18k gold. Full Italian hallmarks.
This is a subtly exquisite curb chain! My favorite kind of showing off :)

The pendant may have come earlier, but I retrieved it yesterday evening …. and I L O V E it! Here you can see it on the rounded box chain which complements the rounded triangle of the pendant. How wonderful is that! It’s like “They were meant to go together.” Because they are both 18 K gold, the color-match is perfect. Once again, Jill, we hit the bull’s eye dead center. What more can I say but, once again, “Thank you.” You’re absolutely the best.
